Discount Tire Rebate Fraud
Bought Michelin Defender tires for $870 with a $70 rebate. Sent the invoice in online and was advised prepaid Master Card was coming.
"We have verified your purchase and successfully processed your Discount Tire rebate." A week later I received an email saying my invoice "was not found" and was told to resubmit. I sent the same form in with my invoice. I called the store where I bought the tires and was told the rebate was very easy to process but they would look into it (i.e. the problem with processing the rebate was me, not Discount Tire).
I was again advised that the card was being processed and "We have verified your purchase and successfully processed your Discount Tire rebate." A week later I received the same "Your invoice was not found" notice as on the first occasion. Soon it will be too late to submit. This reminds me of the complaints I made to Wells Fargo a couple of years ago about the bank setting up an account I had not opened.
Every time you contact them, they assure you it is the customer's fault. From all the complaints, its pretty obvious the Discount Tire Rebate denial is not a random occurrence.

Fool me once, twice but not twice! Rebates are a scam to get you to buy.
When you try to complete rebate there is always a problem. Don't waste your time!
Waiting for my rebate since December 2018 Nothing yet
